Welcome to Temple Beth El, Muncie! Temple Beth El is a century-old Reform congregation rooted in a rich Jewish tradition. We serve East Central Indiana – including Muncie, Anderson, Marion, Portland, and beyond.

Our focus is on warmth and friendship, caring and acceptance without judging others. Here everyone is welcome, regardless of age, marital status, sexual orientation, a Jew by birth or by choice as well as interfaith families. At Temple Beth El all are welcomed and cared for, elders are revered, and children are cherished.

We are large enough to host a variety of inspiring services and events; small enough to maintain meaningful connections with each individual and family member.

Upcoming Services and Events

Regular services are not held during the summer, but watch this space for announcements of lay-led services and special events.

Services are being held in person and will also be live streamed through Zoom.

Requests for the Zoom links and/or reservations for in-person seats MUST be made by using the contact form below.

From August toJune, services are held approximately twice a month – Friday Shabbat service and Torah Study on Shabbat Morning. Our next services are scheduled for the following dates and times:

Friday, May 3, 7:30 join us for a Shabbat services.

Saturday, May 4, we gather to debate the meaning of Torah and Talmud, how both inform and support our contemporary life.

Sunday April 28, Class #3, the final TASTE OF JUDAISM, in the series. Our cohort will continue learning about Judaism and the diversity of Jewish peoplehood. 1pm.
